Terms of Service

Last updated 24 July 2026

1. Who we are

CLEAR Score is operated by Total Applications Ltd ("Total Applications", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of the CLEAR Score website and application (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

CLEAR Score analyses content you submit (pasted text, uploaded files, or URLs) and returns an automated trust score, pillar breakdown, and remediation suggestions generated by AI models. Scores are advisory - they are not professional, legal, editorial, or investment advice, and we don't guarantee any particular outcome from acting on them.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel or change your tier at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to submit content you don't have the right to share, to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or to exceed your plan's usage limits through automation or shared credentials. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.

6. Content you submit

You retain all rights to content you submit for audit. We process it only to generate your score and report, and as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Our intellectual property

CLEAR™ and the CLEAR Framework™, including the pillar structure, the question set, the scoring and weighting methodology, the hard gates, the tier bands, and all related documentation, software, and branding, are owned by Total Applications Limited. Using the Service gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to run audits and to use the reports we generate for you, including internally and with your own clients. It does not transfer any ownership. You may not reproduce, resell, sublicense, or publish the Framework itself, present it as your own methodology, or use the CLEAR marks in your own product, service, or training material without our prior written permission. Reports and badges we generate must keep their attribution intact.

Verifying an official CLEAR record

Controlled CLEAR Framework records published by Total Applications Limited are cryptographically signed. To confirm a document is genuine and unaltered, check its signature against our public signing key. The key fingerprint is:

3D58 FFE8 3FDB BCE4 29BD  281E 0904 86C5 7622 28F4

Key: RSA-4096, Total Applications Limited, created 9 August 2026, expires 8 August 2030. The public key can be retrieved by fingerprint from keys.openpgp.org. This fingerprint is published here so it can be obtained independently of any document it verifies. A signature checked against a key supplied alongside the document it signs proves nothing.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is". AI-generated scores can be wrong or inconsistent. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Total Applications Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
